Authentic Greek Cuisine since 1954
Our story began in 1954, when Kostas Nikolaou, our grandfather, started his baking journey with a simple dream: to share the joy of fresh-baked bread and pastries with his community. His small bakery, tucked away on a quiet side street, became a haven for the scent of warm dough and the taste of local ingredients.
Every morning, Kostas would rise before the sun, his hands already dusted with flour as he kneaded dough and shaped loaves of bread. The aroma of baking would soon waft down the street, drawing in sleepy neighbors and early risers, each eager to claim some warm Loukoumades or a slice of his famous honey-soaked baklava.

Serving Authentic Greek Cuisine Since 1954
As Kostas’ reputation for deliciousness spread, his customer base grew. People from nearby towns and even further afield began making the journey to his bakery, drawn by the promise of exquisite pastries and friendly service. Seeing the growing demand, Kostas knew the time for expansion had come.
He cleared away his display cases, making room for a few small tables and chairs. Now, his customers could savor their treats on the spot, accompanied by a steaming cup of Greek frappe, its rich foam contrasting beautifully with the sweet pastries.
Soon he transformed his café into a charming little restaurant and from his humble beginnings, Kostas built a beloved local place where people came not just for good food, but for a taste of community, warmth, and the timeless magic of fresh-baked goodness. Then in 1978 Kostas and his wife decided to move to Germany. They sold the little charming restaurant to a family friend and moved to Germany where our story took its course.
Today we are proud to carry on our grandfather’s legacy. We have had our own restaurants serving authentic Greek cuisine in Germany for more than 25 years and now we are happy to serve Naples, Florida with fine and authentic Greek cuisine through our catering company Hellas Pitas.
We are committed to using the same time-honored recipes that Kostas used, and we are always looking for new ways to share our love for Greek food with the world. Our name, Hellas Pitas, is a nod to our Greek heritage. Hellas is the Greek word for Greece, and we believe that our food is a true representation of the best that Greece has to offer.
